Another man who’s child was taken against his will.

He is in court right now trying to get custody of his son who was adopted out through LDS Family Services without his consent. He already has been awarded visitation and 100,000 dollars for his court fees.
From what I’ve been told by Shawns mother - It appears he was living with his girlfriend of three years and they already share a daughter together.
He was injured at work - which left him partially blind in one eye. While he couldn’t work he was at home watching his daughter. He found out she was lying about going to work and was really spending that time with another man.
She moved out and moved in with said man. She hid her pregnancy and he found out two days before the child was due. He went to the hopsital but was not allowed to see his son - who was placed with a couple in Idaho shortly afterwards despite Shawn’s protest. (I could have some facts wrong - as this is not my story and I am re-telling what I heard.)

This is ridiculous the amount of men having to fight adoption agencies for their children!.
Please pass this along - Shawn needs all the support he can get. Lets hope the judge gives him custody!

This has happend to us as well. My son has never seen his daughter or me my grand daughter. My son told the Mother, Tanay he wanted her, and Tanya hid herself so that she could not be found (with help from her Mother & Father) and had the baby. She lied on the Birth Certificate and said the father was unknown, even though she knew exactly who the father was, my son!
They were living together at the time and had a name picked out and everthing.
Guess what happened? Even though our family begged to have the child, she hid the adoption to her sister, so she could keep the baby and hide her away from our family!
We know who has her and where she is now. In Utah County, Utah with Tanya’s sister. All of her family of course have access to the baby and they feel they have won in stealing and hiding away our own flesh and blood.
This is A HORRIBLE evil crime against this child and it is the hardest thing we have ever had to deal with. How do we get her back? We called the State and they could care less about what happened. In fact the adoption law office over Utah said that it is his fault he didn’t go and establish paternity before the baby was born just in case. So she can get away with what she has done. Unless he has ridiculous amounts of money to fight it in court and hope to win from this sickeing situation….

Wow! You are sure going through a lot. I am going through something somilar & have a qustion. I got a girl pregnant (just a friend with benefits) she placed the baby up for adoption with her parents & the girl signed over he4r rights a couple months ago. And by Utah law, when she sign over her rights that voids mine, right? The adoption isn’t final, but is there anything i can do?
